Labyrinth
Beneath a sky of whispered light, Where shadows fold in silver seams, I trace the edges of the night, Lost in a labyrinth of dreams. Your voice—a thread that winds through time, A breath that lingers on my skin, A half-remembered, fragile rhyme, A silence where your ghost has been. The ocean folds into my chest, Its tides of sorrow rise and fall, A restless heart that won’t find rest, A hollow echo’s quiet call. And in this dark, I walk alone, Where memories like moths take flight Each flutter a forgotten tone, Each moment lost within the night. You called my name, breath upon your lips And I turned around to look But found the night in shadowed slips, A page torn from an unread book. The stars were eyes that watched me burn, And crows sang truths I couldn't know. The sea turned black, the world did turn— A bell tolled soft and low. A mirror shattered on the ground, Each shard a face I used to know, They watched me pass without a sound, Reflections steeped in undertow. I chased your name through twisted halls, Where time decayed on every wall, And down the stairs where silence falls, I heard your voice, a distant call. But when I spoke, the air grew still, The stars collapsed into my scream, As night consumed the light at will I faded into a fractured dream.
