Two Moons, I

The moon glows brightly above a rippling sea of light, and pierces the sky.

Every time a beam of light catches you, you're cut open, ripped apart once again

until the pain becomes unbearable

and you scream out in agony. Yet no sounds come out and slowly, you are silenced and suffocated.

By the light.

Lying on the ground

you're such a coward,

outshone by the striking

dazzling moonlight

that is loved by all.

You can't reach it, you can't get up and you can not move an inch of the ground.

Glancing at the ground, you see

that it's covered in hate, envy, jealousy, longing, and anger.

And yet, you cannot get up from the stench of the grime.

As you watch the surface of the waters ripple,

just a few feet away from you,

you can not help but feel like

it's impossible to pull yourself past those few feet, no matter how desperately you claw your way through your own emotions.

Suddenly you realize,

that dirt and grime you saw beneath you, that ugliness youh ad refused to accept, was undoubtly and forever a part of you,

born from you, born to haunt you in eternity,

and yet you keep staring

at the beautiful, piercing moon, and the shimmering, deadly ripples of the breathtaking lake.

And one by one, you will shoot them all

until all the stars have fallen.
